Dowlais-Cardiff (East Moors) steelworks, negative
Interior of mortar mill located to the south of the open hearth furnaces, c.1895. This ground fireclay and silica cements for repairs to furnaces, ladle linings and many other refractories in the works. Two edge-runner pan mills can just be seen left of centre and extreme left.
