Pot, jam and cover

Jam pot and cover, hard-paste porcelain, circular with straight sides narrowing from the base toward the rim, footring, slightly domed cover with a spoon hole and a lion finial; 1937 Coronation souvenir that has been transfer-printed on one side with the royal Arms and on the other side with the flags of the Dominions with the monogram "G R J / 1937" and with the date "MAY 12 1937", one side of the pot is inscribed "Georgius VI / DEI GRA : / BRITT : OMN : REX, FID: / DEF : IND : IMP: and the other side of the pot is inscibed with "CROWNED / IN / WESTMINSTER ABBEY / MAY - 12 - 1937, the footring is banded with a gilt line border and the rim is banded with a double gilt line border in between which is a band with the inscription "KING GEORGE VI AND QUEEN ELIZABETH", the rim of the cover is banded with a double gilt line border in between which is a band with the inscription "CROWNED MAY 12 1937, the centre of the lid is inscribed "CROWNED IN WESTMINSTER ABBEY, the finial is gilded.
