Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Horeb brickworks, photograph

Photograph captioned 'Brickworks at Horeb, Carmarthenshire. The interior of a brick kiln presents a lofty and intricate appearance. The pattern followed by the bricks in the roof gives evidence of the bricklayer's skill when he made the kiln. The doors are seen from the inside with finished bricks stacked between them. There is an interesting arrangement of flue holes in the roof, some appearing as gaps between bricks, others as holes in purpose made bricks of larger sizes.' Mounted on card. Made for the exhibition RECORDING WALES 3 in 1970/1971.
