Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Cup form, stoneware, standing on a cylindrical drum base with a deep kick and protruding central boss, a pronounced horizontal line above the middle of the base, a cylindrical stem set into the top of the base and extending inside the bowl to form a stem-holder, the bowl with a squared-off base, a pronounced undulating line below the middle of the bowl above which the bowl turns in to the squared-off rim, the whole glazed in black and burnished.
