Cambrian Railways coach number '238'
Cambrian Railways semi corridor 1st/3rd composite carriage no.238 (renumbered 6277 by Great Western Railway 1922. In 1939 converted into a wireless van and renumbered 40576. In 1946 converted into painters’ coach and renumbered 80945. Underframe is the last one it ran on in BR ownership but is not its original. Mounted on ex-MOD (originally GER) bogie underframe No. 82667 (cut and shut). Restored exterior and one first and one third class compartment, remainder of interior remaining as a single open space.
