Swansea Canal, slide

Swansea Canal lock no.7 at Clydach, from the south west. The red brick building on the east (left hand) canal bank was built in 1899 to house a water turbine to generate electricity; it was demolished in the 1970s.The houses in the east (left hand) background are on Capel Road, Clydach, September 1969.

Slide is reversed in the mount.
