Born in the Amman Valley in 1947, Gareth Edwards is a rugby legend. A scrum-half, first capped for Wales aged 19, he became captain a year later, playing 53 consecutive matches during what is regarded as a golden era for the Welsh national sport. Many consider him the greatest rugby player of all time. he is now a company director, columnist and unofficial roving ambassador for Welsh rugby.
