Mine-workers protest, photograph

This march of 10,000 Rhondda mine-workers was in protest against summonses served on some Gilfach Goch men for alleged intimidation under the conspiracy Act. The event occured on Wednesday morning 14 December 1910, and was reported on page 6 of the Western Mail the following day. The report mentions that a banner with the motto "Hungry as Lions" was held aloft on Amos Hill, Pen-Y-Graig, by two bearers.
