S.S. BEATUS, negative

¾ Starboard bow view of S.S. BEATUS at Cardiff Docks.

Built 1942 as FORT TREMBLANT by Victoria Machinery Depot Co Ltd., Victoria, BC (engine by John Inglis Co Ltd., Toronto), for MoWT, managed by W H Seager & Co., Cardiff. 1947 – Returned to the US Maritime Commission, then sold to Tempus Shipping Co., London, and renamed BEATUS (2), managed by W H Seager & Co., Cardiff. 1955 – Sold to Stanhope Steamship Co (J A Billmeir) and renamed STANLAND. She was broken up at Hong Kong in 1963.
