Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Early Medieval copper alloy shrine mount

Mount for a leather strap, it is decorated with recesses for red and yellow enamel, which has since decayed. The cross motifs are inlaid with blue and white millefiori glass platelets and the top bears a blue glass stud with grille inlay.
