Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Vase, buff stoneware, pear-shaped with slightly flared foot ring, tall neck with everted rim, covered in rich iron-red glaze densely speckled with iridescent metallic flecks.

The stoneware traditions of China and Japan are a constant source of inspiration. In particular, the iron-saturated and celadon glazes from the Sung Dynasty, which appeal to me for their refinement and endless subtleties of colour.
