Dinorwig slate quarry, steam coal account book

A steam coal account book for Dinorwig Quarry. The account book records the amount of steam coal sent out to different parts of the quarry between April 1908 and January 1938 e.g. to the different Cabanau, to the barracks, and to the offices in various parts of the quarry. The account book also, on occasion, notes names of different women in neighbouring villages e.g. Dinorwic and Cwm y Glo. It seems that these women were widows, and received coal from the quarry. The account book notes how much coal was received, brought forward, used for engines, and how much was left in stock at the end of each quarry month.
