DOVER HILL (2)(7290gt) : Built 1945 as EMPIRE NAIROBI by Short Brothers Ltd., Sunderland. 1946 – Sold to Dover Hill Steamship Co Ltd., and renamed DOVER HILL, managed by Counties Ship Management Co Ltd. 1951 – Sold to Compagnia Navigozione Castellana SA, Panama, and renamed BASIL. 1954 – Sold to British Steamships Co Ltd., and renamed RAVENSHOE, managed by John Cory & Sons Ltd., Cardiff. 1960 – Sold to Plate Shipping Co. SA,, Panama, and renamed PLATE SHIPPER, managed by P.B.Pandelis Ltd., London, under the Greek flag. 1961 – Sold to Sadikoglu, Riza ve Aslan, Turkey, and renamed UMRAN. 1966 – Sold to L. Yelkenci Evatlari Donatina, Turkey, and renamed TAN 2. She was broken up at Istanbul in 1968. (ref : - Wikipedia/empire ships)
