Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Allied Steel and Wire Tremorfa Works, drawing

Grimes, Winsor Kingsley (Winsor Grimes was born in the mining valley town of Pontypool and grew up in an atmosphere far removed from the world of art. He started to work underground at the coal-face when 14 years old. Teaching himself to draw and paint, Winsor eventually became works artist with ICI Fibres. Now (1987) freelance, he has had five successful one man shows. His work is in many public and private collections, both here and abroad, and is regularly commissioned by the National Trust and many industrial concerns.)

Pen and ink of an interior view at Allied Steel and Wire Tremorfa works, 1987, probably Castle wire. Signed bottom right, but undated.
