Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Twist box

Oval box with hinged lid. Made in four pieces, i.e. top, bottom, middle section and hinge. Inscribed with name of owner and the date 10 April 1904. Necklace type ornamentation around edge of box and a star and diamond pattern at centre. Remains of tinning inside and evidence of hinge being repaired (this was normally the first part to be damaged).
