Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Soup plate, earthenware with clear glaze, Midwinter's 'Stylecraft' shape HW16, inset base, rounded sides with flattened, out-turned rim which is square in profile with rounded corners and sides; hand-painted edge-to-edge with the 'Fiesta' pattern of yellow vertical stripes with a central brown wavy line, between which are evenly spaced motifs of four hatched lines in teal and freeform motifs consisting of curved, overlapping brustrokes in yellow, brown and teal.
