Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Early Medieval iron tool

Remains of a socketed tool constructed from a flat rectangular piece of iron. One end of the tool is flat, flaring slightly. The other end has a small circular perforation at the centre and the edge is damaged. At the centre of the tool, the sides curve inwards to create a partial socket for a handle. No points remain at the flared end, as seen on other examples.
