Dinorwig slate quarry, yard wages book

Yard wages book (1923-1931) for men employed in and around Gilfach Ddu workshops, and those working in other parts of the quarry but under the supervision of Gilfach Ddu staff. Number of days worked, day rate, total paid per man per month, and details of bonus given. The names of workmen given, along with their occupations, e.g. Drivers, Electrical Drivers, Compressor Attendants, Blacksmiths, Strikers, Stokers, Saw Sharpeners, Moulders and Fitters, Carpenters, Pointsman, Inclines, Broomsman, Unloader, Carter. Inside front cover is a letter given bonus rates, and dated 23rd October 1950, inside a brown envelope addressed 'Engineer, Gilfach Ddu.'
