Cup, tea and saucer

Cup, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a short foot rim, bucket shaped with straight sides outwards from base and a simple shaped handle; mazarine blue underglaze ground decorated with a yeux de perdrix pattern in gilt and a shaped white reserve in which a scene depicting a peasent girl doing laundry within a landscape is finely painted in polychrome enamels, a gilt band to foot rim, reserve border, rim edge and gilt border with swathes around inside of rim and gilt pattern in well centre, handles lined in gilt; glazed. Saucer, soft paste porcelain, no foot rim and straight slanting; underglaze mazarine blue ground inside of saucer decorated with yeux de perdrix pattern in gilt with reserve in well centre with scene finely painted in polychrome enamels of peasent girl resting in landscape, rim edge lined in gilt and outer side of saucer decorated with classical trellis and foliage design in gilt; glazed.
