Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Telegraphic message across water, from Flat Holm Island to Lavernock Point, May 1897. This was originally believed to be the original first wireless telegraphic message sent and received across water. It now appears to be one of the later messages sent between Flat Holm, Lavernock Point and Brean Down as the experiments continued after the initial successful exchange. Multiple messages were sent over a number of days as the experiments continued, and it appears that samples of the later paper strips were distributed to a number of interested parties. The strips held by Amgueddfa Cymru appear to be from these later experiments.
