Box, iron-plate, rectangular form standing on a shaped base and with shaped curving sides, separate rectangular cover; the interior covered with a black japan dusted with gilt, the exterior covered with a crimson japan and decorated in silver to which the varnish has given a golden tinge with Chinese landscapes and formal borders.
