S.S. RAPID, 1877, bill of sale for shares

Black print on cream paper with simple name and title along top of sheet, with handwritten details in black ink; built 1877 - bill of sale for 2 shares for £400 by James Coster Edwards of Brick and Sanitary Tube Works.

S.S. RAPID (weight 1042 tons). Cargo ship built by Palmers' Shipbuilding & Iron Company, Jarrow, and launched on 30 October 1883. Built for John Cory & Sons, Cardiff and owned by the company until 1911 when she was sold under the name of MARIETTA CONSTANZA. Official number 89,163.
