Photograph of the letter of introduction and card presented by Marconi on his first visit to Mr. Preece. Letter to Mr. Preece the Engineer in chief of the GPO in 1896, from A.A. Campbell Swinton of 66 Victoria Street, London. Typed paper stuck on back with pink copyright stamp in left hand bottom corner. The original letter is in the official archives of the Post Office.
