Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Swansea Canal, slide

Swansea Canal lock no.6 (Mond Lock) at Clydach, from the south west. The corrugated galvanised steel sheets are probably to prevent floating debris entering the water intake for the Mond Nickel Works as the intake was in the west (right hand) bank of the canal at this point, September 1969.
