First aid box

First aid kit (box containing first aid equipment) which was used in Rhos Quarry, Capel Curig, by donor's father who was the manager of Rhos Quarry during circa 1940-1950's. The metal first aid box contains various equipment - 6 x triangular bandages, unwrapped, in original brown paper wrapping; 9 x glass bottles (2 x with labels on front - 'lavender salts' and 'spirit of sal volatile'); 4 x tubes of ointment (salicylic acid, ophthalmic ointment, 2 x borated ointment); 1 x small box containing 'surgical silk cord'; 1 x packet of safety pins; 1 x box of safety pins; 1 x box of medicated wound dressing; 1 x box of small first aid dressings; 1 x empty container for a cotton eye pad; 1 x padlock; 1 x box of assorted gauze; 1 x rubber strap; 1 x cotton strap; 5 x wooden splints; 2 x loose plain triangular bandages; 1 x loose triangular bandage with bandage tying instructions printed on it.
