S.S. EFTHALIA MARI, glass negative

(4195gt) : Built 1919 by North of Ireland Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., Londonderry and owned by N. Maris of Greece. She was torpedoed by German submarine U-177 and sunk on the 5 August 1943 while en route unescorted from Madagascar to Alexandria, Egypt, carrying 4,802 tons of coal. One life was lost from a total crew of 43.
