Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Shoe lace

Unused pair of Stonewall glittery ‘Rainbow Laces’, in original packing, and produced to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Rainbow Laces. Rainbow laces were first launched by Stonewall in 2013, to promote LGBTQ+ equality and tackle homophobia in sport. Given out at Pride Cymru, Cardiff, Saturday 17 June 2023. Collected to show the range of free promotional and advocacy material available at Pride events.

Pair of 6-colour rainbow coloured laces made of synthetic fibre, with clear plastic aglets at the ends. The braiding of the laces incorporates strips of thin plastic which have a gold, red, blue and purple metallic coating on them to add a 'glitter' effect. Each lace is rolled up onto itself; the two rolled up laces are then wrapped with a strip of brown paper which is held in place with adhesive. The paper is printed in black and green lettering some of which is filled in with coloured print.
