Built 1942 as OCEAN STRANGER by Todd-Bath Shipbuilding Corporation, Portland, Maine (engine by John Inglis Co Ltd., Toronto), managed for MoWT by Glen & Co., Manchester. 1946 – Transferred to Ministry of Transport, and managed by Alcyone Shipping & Finance Co., London. 1948 – Sold to Alcyone Shipping & Finance Co., and renamed ALCYONE FORTUNE. 1951 – Sold to Cia Maritima Calivergo SA, Panama, and renamed CALYGERA, managed by A.Vergottis Ltd. 1954 – Sold back to Alcyone Shipping Co., London, and renamed ALCYONE FAITH. 1956 – Sold to West Africa Navigation Ltd, Monrovia, and renamed AFRICA BARON. She was broken up at Hirao in 1964/5. (ref : - mariners-list)
