Dish, hard-paste porcelain, circular form with short cylindrical foot-rim and curving sides, a shaped edge to the rim; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a scene showing a cock and a yellow hen standing on a patch of rocky ground with plants and flowes, two insects above and below the scene, the sides of the well divided into twelve panels moulded with an imbricated scale pattern and rococo scrolls containing painted floral swags and insects.
