Shirt
Yellow shirt, part of a two piece scrubs set. Given by volunteers to Tŷ Doctor surgery, Nefyn, during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Short-sleeved shirt made from yellow, tabby woven fabric. The shirt has a V-neck opening and two patch pockets at the hip. Neck opening is made from two strips of folded fabric which are inserted and the stitched in place. The two strips overlap at the bottom of the 'V'. The rear neck is finished by encapsulating the edge with bias tape of the same material. There are 12-12.5cm long slits at each lower side seam. All machine-stitched using yellow thread. Raw edges finished with overlocker. Letters 'XL' hand-embroidered using red thread onto bias-binding of rear inner neck.
A hand-written note was attached to inside of shirt and attached with a safety pin (see Inscriptions/marks tab) - it was removed and has been placed in the object file.
