Cow-creamer and cover
Cow-creamer and cover, earthenware, in the shape of a cow, standing on an oval base with a raised moulded leaf beneath the cow, the cow with a realistically modelled body with prominent breast bone, two curved horns above the ears, the spout formed by the animal's open mouth, the tail looping up onto the back just before the cover, the cover, ovoid, forming part of the backbone; the cow and base covered all over with a glossy black glaze, this then decorated in gilt with a pattern of gilt dashes to the body of the cow, gilt bands around the rim of the base, the hooves and the rim of the cover, the features of the cow's head and its horns and ears painted in gilt.
