Incense burner
Cylindrical vessel, probably an incense holder/burner, made from carved and turned ivory; the vessel has a double-skinned wall and a turned, flaring foot attached to the vessel by a steel clip passed through two holes pierced on the underside of the base, the vessel is carved with traditional Chinese motifs including a moth, dragon, plants and flowers, there is also a series of part-pierced dots at the rim and the interior surface is stained red.
