S.S. NORTHERN PIONEER (2905dwt). Type N3-S-A2 (oil fired) cargo vessel built 1945 by McCloskey & Co., Tampa, Florida, for the Maritime Commission. Delivered May 1945 to Greece as ZAKYNTHOS. Assigned to Britain and renamed NORTHERN PIONEER. 1947 - Sold to the Chinese and renamed TENG 1407. 1948 - renamed CHANG HUNG, then HONG QUI 155. The ship was "deleted" in 1992
