Roman copper alloy bow brooch
Above the head of the bow is a rectangular plate from which emerged a circular head loop, the stumps of which remain. The head of the bow emerges from a U-shaped plate which carries horizontal line ornament across the top. The bow describes a pronounced, even curve, the upper part being decorated with orange and green enamel ornament in three rows running longitudinally down the bow. Immediately above the waist is a projecting knob with an inset cross of enamel. The tapering leg widens to a knobbed foot, which is damaged.
