Swatch of tweed
Swatches of tweed held in card top which is covered in blue imitation leather (coated fabric) and has printed inscription in gold and silver. Small patches of red coated fabric have been adhered to the blue ground and are equally printed in gold. Each fabric has small self-adhesive label on reverse with specifications of type and width. Some of these are marked with biro.
Card top has rope attachment for hanging (cellulosic core covered with blue, red and yellow silk? fibre). The rope is fed through 2 copper alloy grommets which are set into the card and probably is held in place with knots on the inside.
