Photograph captioned 'Blaenavon Ironworks. To the right, the broken end of a retaining wall and one which linked two furnaces by carrying one side of a charging platform which was above and behind the furnace itself. The ruined archway leading to the rounded brick lined pipe could have been a part of the blast system. The side wall of the furnace runs to the right of the wall. The furnaces were between 45 and 50 feet high.' Mounted on card. Made for the exhibition RECORDING WALES 3 in 1970/1971.
