Slate sculpture by Sir Kyffin Williams
A block of blue slate mounted with two patterned pieces of red slate. The slate was collected by the artist Sir Kyffin Williams over the years. The slate would then be glued together forming slate sculptures (a total of eleven). The sculpture were on display at the artist's home in Pwllfanogl.
The materials for this sculpture was collected by the artist over the years. The sculpture was on display at the artist's home in Pwllfanogl and he kindly offered to lend it for exhibition at the Welsh Slate Museum during the summer of 1998. In 2000 he donated it to the Welsh Slate Museum.
