¾ Port Bow view of S.S. AVISBROOK, 05 August 1947.

AVISBROOK (2906gt) : Built 1943 as EMPIRE HARMONY by William Gray & Co Ltd., West Hartlepool, for MoWT. 1947 – Sold to Aviation & Shipping Co. Ltd., and renamed AVISBROOK (managed by Purvis Shipping Co Ltd., London). 1950 – Sold to T. Stone (Shipping) Ltd., and renamed MENASTONE (managed by Stone & Rolfe, Swansea). 1961 – Sold to Ypapani AS, Panama, and renamed CAPETAN PANAOS (managed by K & M Shipbrokers Ltd., London. 1966 – Sold to Astrocierto Compagnia Navigazione, Panama (managed by N.K.Noumikos, Greece). She ran aground at Kilyos on the Black Sea on 7th May 1969. Refloated and with her cargo discharged, she arrived on 2nd November at Piraeus, for breaking.
