Figure of Uncle Tom, white earthenware, crackle glaze, black speckling, standing on an oval base inscribed in gilt script, poor definition. Figure barefooted, white trousers striped with gilt, loose white shirt, black feet hands neck and head, black extruded hair. Standing with left arm bent across chest, right arm resting on a book placed on a corded package lying on the ground, broad brimmed hat with gilt band round lying by right foot.
