Tournai Porcelain Factory (porcelain factory, founded 1750 by François Joseph
Peterinck)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain, circular shape with tapering foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim, the rim moulded with four sections of spiral ribbing, a shaped edge to the rim; decorated in gilt with to the centre of the well a trefoil of flowers and leaves and a small sprig, four further trefoils around the rim, to the edge of the rim a fret pattern border in gilt on a dark blue ground.
