Slip-on impression. A single tile fragment from a 4-tile design. Overall design of 4-tile design comprises a subdivided square, with central barbed quatrefoil surrounded by a double border in the form of two-light windows; a shield of arms bearing the Instruments of the Passion in each corner; on the borders of the tile and the quatrefoil a black-letter inscription repeated four times: pax xpi: int[er]' nos sit semp[ler]: Ame' (May the peace of Christ be amongst us always. Amen); within the quatrefoil ihc crowned. BM Design 1469 (Great Malvern Priory).
