Baker, Bevans and Irwin, Glamorgan Pottery (1813-1839)
Soup plate, earthenware, circular shape with rounded foot-rim, deep curving sides and spreading rim, a raised edge to the well, the outer rim moulded with several raised bands and lobed; transfer-printed in blue with to the centre of the well a large spreading spray of flowers and foliage, several smaller sprays of flowers, foliage and shells extend up the sides of the well and onto the rim, dentil border to the rim of small circles and diamond shapes issuing small flowers, a brownish tinge to the glaze, several cracks run down the sides of the well from the rim.
