Embroidery on woollen canvas ground using coloured silks, mainly in cross and eyelet stitches. Border of narrow line within a wavy stem with buds. Top: row containing pairs of birds alternating with tree motifs; two rows containing alphabets in upper and lower case; three rows containing verse and maker's name. Middle: motif of eagle with a twig in its beak surrounded by pairs of flowering plants, crowns and letters GR (for George II), birds and other motifs. Bottom: complex representation of St David's Cathedral with title.
