Newport Docks, glass negative
Discharging heavy machinery from an unidentified ship at Newport Docks. The machine is a "United" self-propelled ingot car for the steel industry. The load was lifted and transferred to the dockside by a floating crane and is seen being loaded on to a Wynn's double swan-neck low-loader trailer for tranporting to the Hot Mill at the Steel Company of Wales' Abbey Works, Port Talbot .
