Cup and saucer, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain, the saucer with a green translucency and the cup with a whiter translucency; the cup standing on a foot rim, with curved sides, slightly flared at lip; a ring and scroll handle; saucer on a foot rim, with curved sides; the cup painted in sepia and olive enamels; a landscape of a ruined castle and a tree in the foreground right; a gilt band to the foot rim, to interior and exterior of lip; the saucer with a sepia and olive landscape painted in the centre, of a castle on a hill beyond a river (or lake); a plain gilt band inside the lip.
