Post-Medieval silver finger ring
Silver fede or fidelity ring.
The ring is very worn on outside but probably once gilt. The broad hoop has a plain outer surface, and a flattened D cross-section. The inner face of the hoop is inscribed with the text: I ˣ LIKE ˣ MY ˣ CHOYSE
The ring is dated to the 17th century.
