(7122gt) : Built 1945 by New England Shipbuilding Corporation, East Yard, South Portland, Maine (engine by General Machinery Corp, Hamilton, Ohio), for the US War Shipping Administration, managed by Boland & Cornelius, Buffalo, New York. 1948 - Laid up at Wilmington, NC. 1951 - Sold to Tramp Cargo Carriers, New York, and renamed LIBERTY BELL. 1956 - Sold to Polarus SS Co, New York, and renamed I. R. LASHINS. 1957 - Sold to Southport SS Corp, NY., and renamed SOUTHPORT 1958 - Sold to Blidberg Rothchild Co, NY. (name retained) 1964 - Sold to Alaska SS Co, Seattle, converted to part container ship, and renamed ODUNA. She ran aground at Cape Pankor, Unimak Island, Alaska, on 26 November 1965, and was declared a total loss.
