Saucer
Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, circular shape with short cylindrical foot-rim and curving sides; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the well a detailed map of the Leipzig area showing numerous place names and markings in red, blue, green and yellow, on a curving panel around the top of the map is the inscription "VOLKERSCHLACHT bei LEIPZIG / am 18ii 19 Oct.", the map encircled by a narrow gilt line, a heavier gilt line to the edge of the rim.
