Sword
Long narrow steel cutlass, or sword without a sheath. Formerly part of Gwent Police Museum collection
Unclear where or when used, though cutlasses were issued to police officers during the nineteenth century. This cutlass and F09.29.65.1 were said to have been used to arrest German soldiers on a ship that docked in Newport.
