Pot-lid
Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'Good Dog', showing a rural landscape with a barefooted boy seated on the bank of a stream while a large dog dripping with water stands in the middle of the stream holding a toy sailing boat in its mouth, in the distance a castle, on a rock in the foreground of the scene is printed the inscription "GOOD DOG", the print is not enclosed by any border. The glaze crazed, chips to the flange.
